Le Mans Classic 2010 takes place on the 9-10-11 July 2010. This fifth running of the event
coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Le Mans debut of the Lancia Beta Montecarlo Group 5
Turbo, the car that beat Porsche to the World Championship of Makes title in 1980 and 1981.
The Lancia Montecarlo Consortium is marking this special occasion with an event open to all
owners of Lancia Montecarlos and Scorpions, as well as any other Lancia enthusiasts who want
to join in the celebrations.

Our trip will be based at the Haras de la Potardière, which is about 40 minutes drive south
of the Le Mans circuit, near the village of Crosmières. If you follow the N23 south from
Le Mans to La Flèche you'll find Crosmières to the north-west of La Flèche on the D306.
The Haras de la Potardière is a few kilometres south of Crosmières on the D70. It's a château
and stud farm located in rolling Sarthoise countryside. We have reserved all the
accommodation available - the château itself, the adjacent converted stable block and the
farmhouse in the grounds. There is also a swimming pool and a bar. The Haras management
will be organising special catering facilities for us and the hotel has a wide variety of
rooms from twins to suites. The price per person will vary slightly, depending on how many
beds (as opposed to rooms) we are able to fill, but as a guide the probable cost per person
for three nights' accommodation including breakfasts, plus full dinner on both Friday and
Sunday evenings, will be around £450.00. For more details of the chateau visit
www.potardiere.com
or ask anyone who joined us on our previous excursions in 2004, 2006 and
2008.
ADMISSION TICKETS
The Consortium can obtain special admission tickets which allow access to virtually the
whole of the Le Mans circuit, including the grandstands, paddocks and clubs display areas.
We will also have a limited number of 'track lap' tickets available. These will allow you
to drive your car around the full Le Mans circuit on Saturday morning before the racing
begins. If you want tickets, either for the circuit or the track, please let us know
when you book your accommodation. You can order admission tickets from us even if you
don't plan to stay at the Haras de la Potardière. Just follow the link at the bottom
of this page.

Ferry crossing prices fluctuate widely depending on which ferry company you use and which
crossing you decide to take. As a guideline, LD Lines Portsmouth-Le Havre crossing will
probably turn out to be the cheapest crossing you can get. Brittany Ferries Portsmouth-Caen
crossing usually costs more but Caen is closer to the circuit so your travel time in France
will be reduced. There is also a plethora of options including Portsmouth-St Malo,
Dover-Calais, Dover-Boulogne or the Channel Tunnel, plus sailings from Newhaven-Dieppe, but
bear in mind the journey time once you reach France. Le Havre and Caen both have good dual
carriageway connections to Le Mans (though there's a toll on the Autoroute from Le Havre) and
the journey time is usually under three hours from either port. However, a journey from the
northern French ports will take considerably longer.

We have deliberately made no plans for Saturday evening meals, as many of you will probably
want to stay at the circuit. There are a host of food outlets within the circuit itself
and any number of restaurants in the surrounding villages. Please note that food will NOT
be available at the hotel on Saturday evening. For more details of the event visit
