If you want to post a picture from another website (such as our gallery) simply type in the
URL of the picture, highlight the URL you've just typed then click the 'Insert Hyperlink' button.

If you've done it correctly your text should look like this:

Code:
[url]http://www.yoursite.co.uk/imagefolder/image.jpg[/url]

If you want to attach pics direct from your PC just click on 'Additional Options' (bottom left of the posting window)
then use the 'browse' button to select the picture you want to attach from your PC's hard disk.

Your attachment(s) will appear as a thumbnail at the bottom of your post (see below).

You can view the picture full size by clicking on the thumbnail.

Note that there is a file size limit on this feature - ideally your pics should be no more than 250 Kb.

For those of you having difficulty in sizing your pictures to add to the forum, I recommend the following free software.  http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm

It will allow you to take either one picture, or a number of pictures at one size and shrink them down (file sizewise) to a size specified by you.  As mentioned above, the maximum limit for posting to the forum is 250k, but there is no reason why you shouldn't keep them smaller.

The alternative is to use a free hosting site like flickr or similar, and post a link to your photos, just like Johnny_L has done here - http://www.montecarlo.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=530.0 in his first post.

Thanks for reading!

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
